The 3/2 way solenoid valve differs from the 2/2 way solenoid valve, in that is has an additional switching point, which can be controlled using an electromagnet. This means, that the anchor within the valve can take on two different positions when the solenoid is activated. When the solenoid is not active, depending on the version, the anchor can be pulled down. When activating the solenoid, the polarity pushes the anchor upwards. The solenoid requires power supply with either 230 volt AC voltage, or 24 volt DC voltage. Only one income power supply and two outlet pipes can be connected to the valve. Depending on whether the anchor is in the upward or downward position, two pipelines are connected for the media to flow through. The 3/2 way solenoid valve is usually used in engineering, medical engineering, food – or pharmaceutical industry, since it can be activated from as low as 0 bar.
