Installation and maintenance of an MID
The installation location of the electromagnetically inductive meter should be selected such that there is a sufficiently straight pipe before and after the meter. An inlet pipe of at least 5 x DN and an outlet pipe of 2-3 x DN is needed for this. Non-standing vortices in the measurement should be prevented by appropriate countermeasures, as these can influence the result. The MID can be installed both horizontally and vertically. However, it should be ensured that emptying of the measuring point is prevented. Further installation instructions are contained in the product-specific datasheets on the product detail page. Thanks to the design of the MID, it is very low maintenance and can be cleaned very quickly and easily To achieve this, suitable shut-off fittings should be installed before and after the meter
Specifications of our inductive meters
The MID is designed to guarantee the continuous measurement of the flow. The meter records the flow speed of the flowing meter. However, the medium must have a minimum conductivity of > 5 µS/cm because otherwise a measurement cannot be taken. The measurement deviation is +/- 0.5% of the measured value. Flow rate values can be recorded from 0.25m/s, the maximum flow rate that can be measures is 10m/s. The measuring pipe of the inductive meter is made from high quality stainless steel and be coated either with PTFE or hard rubber. The electrodes are also made from stainless steel. The flange and the coil chamber are made from steel. The electromagnetic flow meter is available with flange connection in the nominal widths DN15 – DN600 and in the voltage ranges 18-36V, 115V or 230 volts. The measured value is transmitted via a signal in the range of 4-20mA. We will be happy to help you choose the right MID.
