FAQ-Product
The spring cross and guide deliver a consistent, centred closing behaviour and better flow values.
Yes, but it must be ensured that the installed springs in the disco check valves are subject to a certain tolerance and that the specified opening pressures cannot be realized exactly. Conversely, a tightness is only given in the presence of a certain back pressure. The specified leak rate must also be observed.
If pressure circumstances are unstable, discs in check valves tend to become tilted –the guide used in the RV02 series prevents this from happening.
Special opening pressures are possible by making design modifications to the RV02 series (spring tolerance +/-5%). View our check valves here.
For vacuum applications with type RV02, it is advisable to glue the seals if necessary.
We can do this ex works for an extra charge, but it is also possible to do yourself – Loctite 480 is used as the adhesive here.
The seal of the disco check valves type RV01 has a Shore hardness of 70.
We base the leak test on the DIN EN 12266 standard. This defines the maximum permitted leakage in mm³/s, which may occur during the minimum test period depending on the nominal diameter and leak rate. This table is also available, converted into air bubbles, see picture down below. For the metallic sealing fittings, we specify leak rate G.
