Approx. 100,000 switching cycles with overflow valve with bellows type UV14/15
We set the default pressure for overflow valves to the lowest level possible. The purpose of this is to relieve the spring and valve seat/seal. For example UV01020005 corner overflow valve 1” inch IG type UV01 set range 2.0 - 12 bar (always delivered with a default pressure of approx. 2 bar)
The UV13 series is excepted!
This is generally delivered in the medium range of the setpoint value.
We are also happy to set the overflow valve to your desired pressure at the factory. Please simply indicate this in your order.
Each Overflow valve has a different characteristic and spring, which means that e.B. the power can dissetail a higher power at a valve with a nominal diameter and an adjustment pressure of 5.0 bar than at an adjustment pressure of 6.0 bar. For other nominal diameters, this can be exactly the opposite.
Yes, the typical application for an overflow valve is as a bypass to the container in front of the pump when customers are closed. This prevents the pump from running against block. The proportional opening behavior ensures that a constant pressure is maintained.

The temperature difference between the corner and the passage variant lies in the fact that a diaphragm is installed in the overflow valve type UV05, which can only be loaded up to the specified temperature limit. Such a diaphragm is not installed in the corner valve, which means that higher temperatures are possible here.
Each nominal diameter has a different spring installed, so that the performance data with a larger nominal diameter may also decrease under certain circumstances.
We do not have heating jackets for safety valves or overflow valves in our range.
Overflow valves of the types UV14 and UV15 are counter-pressure compatible up to 4.0 bar due to the integrated bellows, so that a back pressure does not affect the opening behavior. For UV01, UV02, UV03 and UV04 overflow valves, the back pressure has an almost 1:1 effect on the adjustment pressure of the valve. Overflow valves of the types UV05, UV06, UV07 and UV08, UV09, UV10, UV11 and UV12 have a diaphragm and are therefore as good as counterpressure compensating, the back pressure has only a small part effect on the opening pressure. The UV13 series should always be designed for use at back pressures.
