Yes, with our double-acting actuators, swivel angles such as 120° or 180° can also be covered. Please contact us in these cases.
The reason could be that the end positions are not reached. This can be readjusted manually (+/- 5°).
Options are possible from the S series.
No, with the DPS option, it is not possible to move over the normal signal via 90° swivel, but only via the specified control signal, a swivel rotation of 90° is therefore not possible.
As soon as the board for the positioning system is installed and connected correctly, the actuator is only approached via the control signal (depending on the setting 4-20mA, 0-20mA, 0-10V or 1-10V). A 90° swivel is still possible, but must be specified via the control signal, an automatic swivel is no longer possible.
As standard, our pneumatic actuators are designed for an air pressure of approx. 6-10bar. In the case of deviating information, however, we can also design actuators with different control pressures. The lower the existing control pressure, the stronger the actuator must be equipped, which also makes it more expensive.
In the case of single-acting actuators, the spring force of the actuator without compressed air control must be sufficient to overcome the torque of the ball valve plus a certain safety factor and either close or open the tap (depending on the mode of action). At the same time, it must be ensured that the force of the actuator under compressed air loading, taking into account the control pressure, also overcomes the torque of the valve plus the safety factor.
With our AN01 actuator, we can confirm a maximum number of switching cycles of 10,000 cycles according to DIN EN 15714-2 from the S20 version.
A distinction is made between single-acting actuators (spring-closing and spring-opening) and double-acting actuators. Single-acting pneumatic actuators move to a safety position in the event of air failure. Our single-acting actuators are standard closing fittings. Double-acting fittings require compressed air for both closing and opening.
Yes, but the AN01 actuators can be protected against power failure via an optional AkkuPack version of the S20 version. Such a actuator, including the AkkuPack, automatically drives the valve into its desired safety position in the event of a power failure. By default, the safety travel of the actuator is in the direction of "closed" (NC=Normally Close), unless the actuator has already been ordered with the safety position "open" (NO=Normally Open). This actuator equipment ensures an emergency adjustment in the event of a power failure, similar to a spring-operated actuator. A prerequisite for operation is a continuous charge of the battery. If the safety path is changed, this is possible by removing or plugging in the jumper below the interface connection. The possible trips and the loading parameters depend on the design. The battery pack is integrated in the drive housing and is pre-charged in the delivery state. Before the first commissioning, the battery pack must be charged on the mains for 28 hours to ensure full operational readiness. During operation, the travel direction must remain energized during downtimes. As a result, the control room heating is active and the battery charge is guaranteed.
Actuation times cannot be adjusted – different actuation times are only possible by using different actuator sizes (here it must be taken into account whether the drive can also be used accordingly for the ball valve for the purpose of torque)
Yes, thanks to the DPS positioning system option, the actuator from version S20 can also be moved via a control signal. Here it should be noted that the drive proceeds linearly, but the selected valve also has a linear flow curve. With our ball valves and butterfly valves, we cannot realize this.
The bridge has 2 functions, on the one hand it prevents the direct temperature transfer from the valve to the actuator, as this has a lower maximum temperature limit. On the other hand, it serves to adapt different flange patterns, as well as wave dimensions.
Our AN01 actuators can be powered via 2-phase operation from the S20 version. The up/close actuator travels over a continuous phase in the ordered direction of travel (NO or NC). If the second phase contact is controlled, the actuator proceeds in the opposite direction. This actuator is very suitable for replacing solenoid valves. You can leave the previous control of the solenoid valve in the control cabinet and only have to jam an additional continuous phase to the actuator. This option must be communicated BEFORE the order and the ordered variant (NO or NC) cannot be reconfigured afterwards. Attention, this option requires a power supply and does NOT protect against power failure!
Yes, both options are possible simultaneously and ensure that the actuator enters a safety position both during operation under power supply and in the event of a power failure. The defined final position should be specified at the latest in the case of an order, as this cannot be changed subsequently.
In the case of double-acting actuators, the driving force with compressed air control must be sufficient to overcome the torque of the ball valve plus a certain safety factor and either close or open the tap.
