Manometer-gauge-valves: simple and easy exchange of the pressure gauge
Manometer gauge valves enable you to exchange defective measuring devices easily and rapidly. The valves have a vent screw, which sits between the manometer and the valve seat. This allows for neutral point measurement. To do a neutral point measurement, one has to close the supply line using the valve, then blow out the valve through the vent. If you discover that the pressure gauge is defective, you can loosen it from the clamping sleeve or the manometer connection sleeve whilst the valve is closed. Afterwards, a new valve can be implemented. The vent should be set up in a way that prevents damage that might occur from the escaping medium. Within steam applications the manometer gauge valve is required to contain a test port. This allows you to check the measuring device using a pressure gauge, without the need for disassembly.
Manometer-gauge-valves for a variety of applications in different designs
Often, the pressure within the application needs to be checked regularly, using the manometer shut-off valve and pressure gauge. Manometer gauge valves are being used in engineering and plant engineering, in the chemical and petrochemical industry, in energy supply, within biogas plants, in pharmaceutics and in environmental engineering. They can be used in applications with liquid or gaseous media as well as steam, thus they come in a variety of designs. Manometer gauge valves are made of stainless steel 1.4571 or steel 1.0460. They can also be made of brass when used in simple applications. The seal material is either PTFE or graphite. The pressure range lies between 0-400 bar for manometer gauge valves that are made of steel or stainless steel, for manometer shut-off valves made of brass it reaches up to PN250. Depending on the design, our valves are DIN 16270 or DIN 16271. Every valve has a ½“ connection thread. You can download a free step-3D file (stp) of your valve from our website, whether you need your valve with shaft, tap, test flange or test peg. Additionally, you can find the data sheet for your valve in the product detail view and download it free of charge.
