Due to the exceptional toughness of the PVC-U, ball valves and fittings made of PVC can be used with oily, acidy and chlorinated substances, as well as with salt- and seawater applications. PVC-U ball valves are often used in the construction sector, where ball valves can be applied in sewage pipes, installations and plants. In the private sector, PVC ball valves are used in swimming-pool technology due to their resistance to chlorine. Petrochemical and chemical industries also rely on PVC ball valves. The different areas of application require several variants of plastic ball valves. That's why NieRuf offers ball valve in both a 2-way and a 3-way build. A 3-way PVC ball valve, in contrast to a 2-way ball valve, allows you to not only shut off the pipeline, but also redirect it using a L- or T-bore.
To ensure easy application, all PVC ball valves from NieRuf come with either an internal thread or a gluing sleeve. The seal can be EPDM/Hytrel or PTFE/Vitron. PVC-U ball valves with gluing sleeve come in nominal sized from d16 to d110. Up to a connection of d63, the ball valves can be used with an operating pressure of up to 16 bar. Nominal sized from d75 to d110 can withstand an operating pressure of only 10 bar. PVC ball valves with internal thread are available from ½“ to 4“. The maximum pressure for ball valves with a thread is 10 bar.
The classic plastic ball valves have a PVC-U hand lever, but they can also be equipped with an electric drive. The electric drive can be operated with either 230 Volt alternating current or 24V direct current. Please find the exact overall length in the data sheets available for download.
