Steam applications are found widely in industry, but are also very feared. If steam comes into contact, for example, with water, a so-called steam shock occurs, which can have dangerous effects for people and machinery. Therefore, when selecting the components used, e.g. overpressure valves, particular attention should be given to high quality products. The valve serves to release unwanted overpressure, for example in a boiler. It must be ensured that the release of the steam and the hot water takes place in an environment free of people and components. The steam overpressure can be released safely, for example, via a release pipe. The steam overpressure valves are securely fitted by the factory at your desired setting. Changing the setting manually at a later date is not advised. When the valve is released once, its functioning must be checked. Cleaning is also recommended. The valves in steam generators have to be checked according to TRD 601 every 4 weeks. If it is found that dirt has damaged the valve during its actuation, it should urgently be replaced. Otherwise, the seal of the entire system or another release in the event of overpressure cannot be guaranteed. Feel free to ask our technology department about the design and calculation of the pressure setting and the release performance. So that your steam system or boiler is reliably protected against overpressure, we exclusively use high quality materials. Every valve is also tested after it has been set.
