Flange-safety-valves are often used in pipelines that are under pressure, in order to protect them from overpressure, especially in pipelines with higher nominal sizes and pressure ranges. The flange valves for pressure ranges from PN16 to PN40 are available in nominal sizes from DN15 to DN100. The set pressure can range from 0,2 bar to 40 bar, depending on the model. The flange of the safety valves is manufactured according to DIN EN 1092-1 or DIN EN 1092-2. The thickness tolerance is according to DIN 2533 or 2545, the sealing surfaces comply with DIN 2526 Form C. The seal for our flange-safety-valve can be either EPDM, metal or FPM. All flange-safety-valves are manufactured from grey cast iron EN-JL 1040, stainless steel 1.4408 or cast steel 1.0619+N. NieRuf GmbH is you well-known expert and currently offers three different models of flange-safety-valves: With closed lifting device and bonnet, with gastight cap and closed bonnet or with open lifting device and bonnet.
Insert of flange safety valves
Flange-safety-valves are favored in steam systems and steam boilers, since in these applications flange connections are predominant. The construction allows for significantly higher nominal sizes, which in turn allows for higher discharge capability compared to thread safety valves. This high discharge capability is especially relevant in large tanks, which makes the high quality flange safety valves from NieRuf the ideal valve.
