Compressed air is air that has been condensed in a compressor. Pressure safety valves can secure containers and pipelines operating under pressure. As soon as the pressure within the container reaches or exceeds the pressure set in the pressure safety valve, the valve opens and releases the compressed air. This reduces the pressure within the system.
We set the pressure value on the pressure safety valve according to your wish before sealing the valve. The pressure safety valve reaches its maximum hub (valve completely open) once the pressure exceeds the set pressure value by 10% and closes once the pressure falls 10% below the set pressure value (20% for liquid media). The tolerance is +/-3%.
The pressure safety valve is marked with D/G. This indicates a free scrubbing valve, meaning that the excess compressed air is released into the surrounding. As a result, pressure safety valves should be used only with safe media.
To monitor and service the valve, it comes with a twist-type lifting mechanism. This lifting mechanism needs to be used regularly in order to prevent pollution, which could damage the pressure safety valve.
